Waterloo Cottage
A Kitchen Full of Character | Beaded In-Frame Shaker
A TIMELESS IN-FRAME KITCHEN
Traditional Craftsmanship, Rich Colours and Thoughtful Design
Every home has its own character, and at Waterloo Cottage, that character was something to celebrate.
With angled walls, sloping ceilings and exposed timber beams, this distinctive space called for a kitchen design that would work in harmony with its unusual architecture.
The result is a beautiful kitchen from our premium Heritage by Oriel Kitchens collection, featuring rich indigo blue cabinetry, warm natural oak and elegant brass detailing. A perfect balance of classic style and modern living.
Classic In-Frame Cabinetry in Rich Indigo Blue
The homeowners chose our premium Heritage in-frame kitchen collection, finished in a beautiful indigo blue.
The classic proportions and elegant framing bring a timeless quality to the design, while the deep blue cabinetry makes a confident statement against the light walls and natural timber features.
The choice of worktops adds another layer of interest. Warm solid oak surfaces and matching timber trims sit alongside beautifully veined Dekton Neural worktops and splashbacks, creating a contrast between natural textures and contemporary finishes.
Brass cabinet handles and knobs provide the finishing touches, complementing the warm copper pendant lighting and exposed wooden beams.
Together, these carefully selected materials create a kitchen that feels welcoming, full of personality and perfectly suited to its surroundings.
Careful Planning for a Unique Home
Designing a kitchen for a room with unusual angles and changing ceiling heights requires careful planning.
Our designer worked with the existing architecture to create a layout that makes the most of the available space while maintaining an open, welcoming feel.
Carefully positioned cabinetry follows the angles of the walls, with each element designed to sit naturally within the room. From the arrangement of the kitchen units to the precise detailing of the worktops, every decision was made with both practicality and appearance in mind.
It's an example of how thoughtful kitchen design can turn a challenging space into something truly special.
Beautiful Details, Designed for Everyday Living
One of the standout features of Waterloo Cottage is the coordinating dresser, which extends the kitchen cabinetry into the dining area.
Finished in the same rich indigo blue, the dresser features elegant reeded glass doors, providing a beautiful place to store and display glassware.
The combination of traditional in-frame cabinetry and textured glass adds interest without overwhelming the space.
The kitchen also features NEFF appliances throughout, including a downdraft hob, bringing modern cooking technology into this traditionally styled setting.
At the centre of the room sits a generous wooden dining table, creating a natural gathering place.
It's a kitchen designed to be enjoyed, not simply admired!
